I am a vegetarian and I love all animals. Fyodor Dostoevsky said it best in the 1800's when he wrote: "Love the animals." They've been given "the rudiments of thought and untroubled joy. Do not trouble it, do not torment them, do not take their joy from them." I look forward to the day when every person loves and respects all animals. Only then can we achieve true peace on earth.

This painting combines something I love with something I am curious about: reading and people whose jobs require them to wear a costume. I love to read, spend hours and hours doing it, and have often thought: "If only I could get paid to read all day..." When I see someone in a costume, I wonder who they are, what's it like, and what exactly are they doing in there? If it was me, I'd definitely be reading!
